Job Summary:
The Maintenance Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep and appearance of the boatyard, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment. This role includes landscaping, general maintenance, and supporting the facilities team with various tasks to maintain the overall condition of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
- Perform general upkeep of walkways, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Ensure proper disposal of yard waste and other materials.
- Assist in basic maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property and report any safety concerns.
- Support the maintenance team with special projects as needed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for cleanliness maintenance in the facility, including cleaning bathrooms, cleaning exterior windows, emptying trash, and ensuring overall facility cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a marine and industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary.
